We've scheduled a special meeting on Tuesday,  July 18th, starting at 8AM in the Lecture Hall at the Medtronic Tempe Campus. The purpose of this meeting is to allow as many retirees as possible to participate in the webinar that Medtronic has scheduled to update retirees on the upcoming changes to their medical insurance coverage. Sally Luster has already signed us up for the webinar so if you can join us there is NO need to sign up - we've got you covered. I've invited both SGIA and Ironwood representatives to this meeting so that they can be fully prepared for what is coming.

Do NOT expect to get your individual issues covered at this time, nor details of specific plans. Plan details are generally not available until late September at the earliest.

We also have a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 24th from 1 to 3PM in the Lecture Hall (snacks for this meeting will be available in 3C/D since we are not allowed to bring any food into the Lecture Hall. This meeting will have Michael Clark and Ryan Hansen from SGIA to go over insurance plans in more detail. They will also discuss the details that they need if you want to use them as a broker to get your insurance. Representatives from Ironwood Wealth Management will also be at this October meeting to help with any tax consequences of the subsidy that over 65 retirees will be receiving.

Please put these meetings on your calendars since this change has a huge impact for many of you who have probably NEVER shopped for medical insurance in your life. Both meetings are open to all retirees regardless of whether you are a member of the retirement group or not.
